E-LEARNING INTERESTS

(ON MICRO-MODULE DEVELOPMENT)

With the support of various University teaching grants, Andrew initiated a number of eLearning projects. For example, I started off the project “Flipped Classroom with Micro-modules for Macroeconomics in Business.” In this project, the flipped classroom approach is used in a business foundation course – Macroeconomics. It is found that the vast majority of students found these new T&L strategies beneficial to their learning in many aspects, and many of them highlighted the strong engagement and interactions in the class activities. I also find that students who are motivated to learn the course in depth are more likely to find the flipped classroom experience rewarding, have greater satisfaction as well as think of themselves as independent learners.

EDUCATIONAL INTERESTS

Business economics education, e-learning and blended learning, case teaching, gamification.
