E-LEARNING INTERESTS
(ON MICRO-MODULE DEVELOPMENT)
The implementation of 4-year curriculum and the HKDSE leads to vast differences in the background of the incoming science students. To alleviate the problems, Steve started making introductory, interactive chemistry videos so that the students can try to fill the gaps for important chemistry concepts at their own pace. Recently, Steve has collaborated with the teaching staff from Department of Mathematics to utilize their web-based elearning platform to ask a variety of chemistry problems (beyond the MC questions). The platform will be able to automatically mark submitted answers and provide correct solutions.
EDUCATIONAL INTERESTS
Computational and theoretical chemistry. Applications of statistics to study physical problems. Research on particles near different interfaces.
