E-LEARNING INTERESTS
(ON MICRO-MODULE DEVELOPMENT)
To alleviate the problem of committing plagiarism in undergraduate students, Miranda applied for a University Grant Committee (UGC) micro-module development fund and developed a series of e-learning micro-modules that aim to enhance users’ information literacy and academic writing skills. The micro-modules are now hosted on http://eltu.cuhk.edu.hk/files/micro-module/ and are available for public access. The micro-modules developed could be used in flipped classrooms, blended-learning and/or supplementary learning materials for the audience’s academic writing needs and awareness. On top of 10-15 minutes teaching and learning materials (in combinations of short presentations, Powerpoint videos, animated videos, short demonstration videos, and other informative productions), the modules provide hands-on follow-up activities, such as sample analysis, exercises, and short quizzes.
